As their witness struggled to recuperate, the life she knew and loved was systematically being taken away from her. With the detectives turning into her personal bodyguards, and with the assistance from ATF and a covert agency, Raina dug deep inside herself for the courage to not only survive, but to forge a new life in case she did.
Detective Channion Scott had a solid reputation. With an extended family involved in the justice system, and being mentored by his uncle, Channion had a firm foundation and the experience to solve criminal cases. But none of that mattered when he was assigned to a case involving Raina Stewart. How was he to solve his attraction to the brave woman who’d risked her life to save another’s?
